21.12.2016 – Requiem by N. d’Alessandro & J-F Lahos (introduction by P. Franck)

Nicolas d’Alessandro (research-engineer / musician / digital artist and co-founder of the start-up Hovertone-Mons) and Jean-François Lahos (visual and digital artist, computer engineer-Québec) are invited in residency in December to present at La Chambre Blanche (visual and digital arts centre of Quebec) the second stage of their interactive installation Requiem, which was developped within the framework of “Vice-Versa crossed residences cross digital arts“, an exchange initiated by Transcultures with La Chambre blanche (Quebec).

Requiem is a hybrid research between geometric and sound architectures, which was also developed around the relationship between knowledge and the unknown. This device is a reference to the physical and subtle bodies, as a recumbent statue made of polyhedra and a synthesis voice choir unfold in harmony with the pressure points applied to this body equipped with tactile surfaces.

In the same progrmame, Philippe Franck, will develop the relational approach of the Center of digital and sound cultures of Transcultures with several examples of Arts/Sciences and interdisciplinary projects.
