Todor Todoroff (Belgian composer-engineer and teacher, longtime collaborator of choreographer Michèle Noiret) marks in his music a special interest in multiphony, exploring the space of sound and testing new methods of sound transformation. Along with acousmatic music, he developed virtual instruments for gestural control of electroacoustic music for concerts. “Combining motion capture and audio processing, digital instruments creates new ‘virtual instruments’ that enrich writing techniques. Composer or performer – whether musician, dancer or visitor – can infuse more energy and spontaneity, explore a range of nuances and increase its expressiveness. ” In French only.
