From 13 to 17 October 2025, IA Days turns Louvain-la-Neuve into a laboratory for creative artificial intelligence: a full conference day to frame the issues (origins, impacts on professions, copyright, the AI Act), a Night of AI at Pathé to discover on the big screen works made with or assisted by AI, and a four-day Creathon to prototype, test and debate at the crossroads of the technical, the ethical and the artistic. A rendezvous to get informed, get inspired, and take action.
IA Days
IA Days is a five-day programme, held in Louvain-la-Neuve from 13 to 17 October 2025, dedicated to exploring the uses of artificial intelligence in the professions of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).
The programme is structured around three complementary components:
- Conference Day — Monday 13 October: aimed at CCI stakeholders (professionals and educators), it examines the impact of AI on creative practices through keynotes, panels and case studies. This day takes place at the Pathé cinema (Louvain-la-Neuve), from 09:00 to 18:00.
- Night of AI — Monday 13 October (evening): an event open to the general public at Pathé Louvain-la-Neuve. A selection of short works (films, advertisements, hybrid formats) showcases creation approaches that integrate AI and fosters dialogue between young talents, professionals, citizens and digital stakeholders.
- Creathon — Tuesday 14 to Friday 17 October: four days of project-based training across three tracks (Publishing, Video, Video Game). In a decentralised hybrid format, teams are supervised by teachers and supported remotely by experts gathered at MiiL (UCLouvain). Each group carries out a project integrating AI tools and presents an original production at the end of the track.
IA Days thus offer a shared framework in which to explore, create with, and question AI as applied to cultural and media practices: an entry point via the key issues (conferences), a dialogue with the general public, and structured hands-on practice. The objective is to equip students and sector professionals by combining critical reflection (issues, limits, legal frameworks) with concrete experimentation using AI tools.
