This first edition of festival Dig@ran curated by Philippe Baudelot (Digital Culture & Performance) in the green mountains of Val d’Aran (North of Spain at the French border) proposed a nice panorama of various forms of digital arts (as well as video and dance).
“Transcultures live unit” played under a big tent in the village of Vila on July 7th with Gauthier Keyaerts (The Aktivist), Supernova, Christophe Bailleau, Pastoral (+ Isa Belle and her Tibetan bowls & light percussions) and special guest guitar virtuoso Jean-Marc Montera (Marseille) for a super wild improvisation.
On July 7th and 8th Isa Belle + Paradise Now performed in the church of Saint-Felix their delicious sound massages. Among the other artists at Dig@ran: Isabelle Bonté (with an interactive sonic bridge in Viehla), Luc Martinez (and his sweet Aran Bell’s), Vautour (for their dancing AV performance), Scénocosme (and their famous vegetal installation Akousmaflore), the young group Patchwork and their dreamy AV installation “Morphée” also in the centre of Vielha, Mobilis Immobilis (Floraisons et sortilèges, interactive show here adapted for the youngsters) the company Skalen with their choreography “Waves”, a local média artist Caroline Bouissou and a her qr code mosaic itinerary all around vilac . + a professional meeting of the partners of the new project PINC-platform for digital and innovative arts (9 countries involved). A unique and fresh adventure to be continued next Summer at Val d’Aran…
