18.04 > 28.04.2024 | Festival Nuits Beau Tas #14 | Bruxelles

The fourteenth edition of the “Nuits du Beau Tas” festival arrives in mid-April. This intimate and warm experimental festival offers, this year over ten days of alternative and visionary culture, a real prospective cultural offer that will make you discover or find a panel of heterogeneous artists.

The programming therefore covers a wide range of genres, ranging from dark and psychedelic rock to the latest contemporary and improvised expressions, passing through electronics.

Pierre-Jean Vranken, former programmer at Botanique, organizes the Nuits du Beau Tas, this “alternative-iconoclastic meeting of a fifty-something tempted by dissidence, from wrestling to contemporary music”…

22-28/4: Porz An Park (Cedric Dambrain) + Arnaud Gerniers - Sound installation

A custom screen reflects and refracts the light emitted by a small lamp hanging in the middle of the space.
A rainbow materializes as a full ring, the shape an atmospheric rainbow would have as seen from above the surface of the Earth.

Together with a net of directional sound beams, the phenomenon interacts with your movement as a visitor, providing an experience of space where what seems to happen may not be happening where it seems.

Porz An Park (a.k.a Cédric Dambrain, Bambi OFS) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels, Belgium.
Notions of unspeakable experience, subject/object non-duality and perceptual paradoxes are the backbone of his work. These questions have recently crystallized as installations and are the source of his wide range of music production styles, which include electroacoustic computer music, compositions for ensembles, noise, and club-oriented polyrhythmic explorations.
Arnaud Gerniers, born in 1974, is a Belgian artist who lives and works in Brussels.
He studied drawing at the National School of Visual Arts La Cambre (Brussels) and develops a singular work mainly around light and photography.
His work has been exhibited in Belgium and abroad : France, Germany, Spain and the USA.
Arnaud is also active in the performing arts as a scenographer and light designer. He notably worked with Louise Vanneste, Tumbleweed and LOG.
