For the Museum Night, the Hypermedia Communication Department of Savoie Mont Blanc University invests the permanent collections with 4 mixed, virtual or augmented reality devices supported by Transcultures.

Discover innovative works such as “Nymphea’s Survey” (experimenting with VR as a new material and new interspace in the legacy of the questions of pictorial history via geolocated water lily flowers) by Carole Brandon, “i-REAL” ( an XR hypermedia work of art that mixes VR environments — i-REAL Worlds — triggered using cards placed on a JE(U) board!+) by Marc Veyrat/Société i-Matériel, “An Domhan” (inspired by an Irish legend in a device combining comics and mixed reality), by Gaëtan Le Coarer and “Radicant” (resulting from research work on transgender practices and queer spaces) by Jordan Fraser Emery, offering unique and original immersive experiences.

The exhibition brings together its AR, VR and XR devices (supported at different levels by Transcultures and the European Creation Nurseries) with the Hypermedia Communication department of the USMB which is taking over the museum! This event takes place as part of Museum Night in Chambéry 2024.
European Night of Museums.

Nuit européenne des musées

The European Museum Night is the exceptional, simultaneous and most often free opening of European museums for one evening in order to encourage new audiences, in particular families, young people and the most disadvantaged, to go to the museums. It has taken place every year since 2005.
