Chargée de médiation
Isa*Belle is a French multidisciplinary artist based in Belgium whose work explores the intersection of physical well-being and heightened sensory experience. She was the artistic and life partner of Philippe Franck, director of Transcultures until his passing in 2025. Since the early 2000s, she has contributed to most of Transcultures’ initiatives—not only as an artist, but also as a mediator and production assistant—most notably for the international sound art festival City Sonic.
Working under the name “Isa*Belle + Paradise Now,” she and Philippe Franck have created numerous immersive installations and performances since the late 2000s. In parallel, she has collaborated with a wide range of contemporary artists across sound, visual, and performance disciplines, including Cathia Bajon (“Cercle de cristal”), Arianne Chesaux (as the duo “Unda”), Gauthier Keyaerts (“Transonic live bowls”), cellist Matthieu Safatly, multimedia creator Alain Wergifosse, the “Ours Bipolaires” (with writer/visual artist Werner Moron), electroacoustic composer Stephan Dunkelman, and improvisational saxophonist Maurice Charles JJ. She has also been the subject of video works by French filmmaker Régis Cotentin and Portuguese multidisciplinary artist Natalia de Mello.
