The Summer of 2015 will be transonic and digital! Upstream of the thirteenth edition of the sound art festival City Sonic ( 11-27 September ) in Mons, devour , throughout July in Brussels, a series of adventurous concert and performances curated by the group of Nuits du Beau Tas hosted by Recyclart and supported by Transcultures and Transonic label.
At La Louviere, you can discover the Gif – Transnumériques Awards exhibition as part of the contemporary art biennial ARTour or connect to Mons- Plzen (also European Capital of Culture in 2015) with a series of videoconferences intiated byr ArtComTec (in the framework of Artcamp at the University of West Bohemia) that we will also present later in Transcultures’biennal of digital cutlures Transnumériques 2015 .

Transcultures et l’alter label Transonic soutiennent la création sonore aventureuse et les démarches artistiques singulières. C’est dans cet esprit que s’inscrit ce programme Nuits du Beau Tas et les artistes accueillis en résidence live (dont plusieurs seront également de l’aventure City Sonic 2015), par Recyclart cet été, avec une série de concerts et soirées thématiques tous les jeudi et vendredi de juillet : du synthé granulaire à l’héritage du Krautrock, de l’art de la cassette audio redécouvert aux croisements électroniques/multimédia, de l’indie free rock au soundscape ambiant… Une altérité sonique revigorante et de belles découvertes aussi en forme d’annonce de City Sonic#13.
Transcultures and the alter Transonic label support the adventurous sound creation and singular artistic approaches. It is in this spirit that fits that progam conceived by the Nuits du Beau Tas and the artists (some also will be part of the City Sonic 2015 adventure) hosted in live residency by Recyclart this Summer with a series of thematic concerts and special parties every Thursday and Friday in July, from a tribute to the granular synth to the legacy of Krautrock, the art of the audio cassette to electronic-multimedia crossovers, from indie free rock to ambiant soundscape … An invigorating sonic otherness and lots of discoveries also annoucing City Sonic#13.

Pour son édition 2015, les Transnumeriques Awards (initiés par Transcultures pour promouvoir différentes formes d’art en réseau et donner une visibilité à ses créateurs via des curations en réseau et dans l’espace physique) proposent un focus sur le format GIF et ses images animées, le plus souvent mises en boucle au travers de plusieurs expositions en ligne sur la plateforme spamm.be, doublée d’une série d’expositions « physiques » organisées avec différents partenaires belges et internationaux.
Pour la Biennale d’art contemporain et patrimoine ARTour (sur le thème cette année du rapport contemporain au travail), c’est au Centre de la gravure et de l’image animée que vous seront présenté la cinquantaine d’oeuvres Gif internationales pour cette curation (par Jacques Urbanska) appelée à voyager, sous d’autres formes et avec d’autres thématiques, à Taipei (Digital Art Festival), Mons2015 (Transnumériques) et d’autres événements partenaires….
For its 2015 edition , the Transnumériques Awards (initiated by Transcultures to promote different forms of net/web art and to give visibility to its creators through the web – check spamm.fr and in physical spaces too) propose to make a focus on the GIF format and its various moving images, often looped through several online exhibitions –check the spamm.be platform , coupled with a series of « physical » shows organised with various Belgian and international partners.
For the new edition of the Biennale of Contemporary Art and Heritage ARTour (this year on the ‘Homo Faber” theme), the Gif-Transnumériques Awards”exhibition at the Centre of Engraving and the moving pictureof La Louvière features fifty international Gif works curated by Jacques Urbanska. This Gif Art selection is going to travel, in other forms and with other themes, in Taipei (Digital Art Festival), Mons2015 ( Transnumériques) and to other partners/events.

Workshop Emergences sonores et numériques

Organisé dans le cadre du projet «Émergences sonores et numériques», ce workshop est dirigé par Julien Poidevin et Stéphane Kozik, deux artistes diplômés de Arts², très actifs dans le domaine des arts numériques et sonores, et depuis programmés dans divers événements et lieux internationaux.
Ce workshop dont les projets finis seront exposés dans City Sonic (11-27.09.2015) ou Transnumériques (27.09 -12.12.2015), est l’occasion pour les participants de bénéficier d’une expérience forte, à travers un apprentissage aux techniques d’interactivité, une initiation à des logiciels de traitement sonore, une approche de techniques d’exposition spécifiques aux installations, une confrontation aux exigences professionnelles d’un commissariat artistique et une aide à la production.
Organised in the framework of the » sound and digital Emergences » initiated by Transcultures and its Mons Art School partner Arts2, this workshop is led by Julien Poidevin and Stéphane Kozik , two graduate artists of the Visual Art School of Mons, Arts² , very active in the field of digital arts and sound, and programmed in various international events and venues. The final projects made thanks to this last Emergences workshop of this year will be exhibited in City Sonic ( 11-27 Sept. 2015 ) or Transnumériques ( 27.09 -12 Nov. 2015 ), both events being supported by Mons2015, European capital of Culture.
It also represents a unique opportunity for participants to benefit from the artists-coordinators’strong experience, through the learning of innovative technologies (+ introduction to sound processing software) with a specific and critical approach, and also to benefit from Transcultures financial support to their projects.

Dans le cadre d’Artcamp (école d’art d’été) organisé, du 13 au 31 juillet, par la Faculté Ladislav Sutnar de Design et d’Art de la West Bohemia University, Natan Karczmar a initié un programme des séminaires ArtComTec (Art, Communication et Nouvelles Technologies) qui seront réalisés par visioconférence et présentés à la Faculté dans le cadre Plzen, Capitale Européenne de la Culture 2015 et également visible en différé sur youtube.
Ce programme avec des interventions de théoriciens, critiques, artistes numériques et interdisciplinaires internationaux, sera aussi intégré dans la Biennale Transnumériques à Mons2015 (27.11>12.12.015) organisée par Transcultures.
ArtCamp international summer school of art which will take place 13 – 31 July will offer a rich accompanying programme again including a cycle of videoconferencing seminars ArtCom Tec led by Natan Karczmar from Université Européenne de la Recherche, Paris. ArtComTec = Art, Communication, New Technologies. Communication of art and the art of communication, relation between art and science, art and new technologies – these are some of the topics to be presented by professionals in the field – artists, theorists and scientists from France, Belgium, USA, Brazil and other countries whom we will reach through a videoconference.
This program will also be part of the biennale Transnumériques@Mons2015 (from November 27 to December 12).
