Call for projects “NUIT BLANCHE Brussels” 2015 – 13th edition

Call for projects “NUIT BLANCHE Brussels” 2015 – 13th edition

Supported by the City of Brussels, every year on the first Saturday in October NUIT BLANCHE showcases the public space and dozens of sites in the capital by means of contemporary artistic creation. Cultural venues, shop windows, school playgrounds, car parks, churches, stations, fountains, streets and squares are all potential locations.

In offering a series of artistic works closely related to the sites in which they are presented, NUIT BLANCHE sheds new light on familiar places as well as extending an invitation to discover locations that the public usually have little or no chance to see.

Each year, around 100,000 night owls flock to the centre of Brussels to live intriguing and one-of-a-kind experiences.

The 2014 edition will be held on the night of Saturday 3 October, from 7 pm to 5 am, in the heart of Brussels and the theme for this year’s event will be “Renaissance”. This theme should be understood in the broadest sense. It can designate the cultural and artistic movement but also be understood as rebirth, resurgence, revival, recovery, resurrection… and may be twisted at will!

Note: this call for projects only concerns outdoor projects. A second call for indoor projects will be launched by the end of January, on the basis of precise specifications and sites.

So send us your most innovative or interactive projects, may they be wild or appeal to the imagination! Files must be sent by Wednesday 28 January 2015 at the latest.
