In partnership with the Festival Nuits du Beau Tas, Transcultures offers 2 evenings of multimedia creation where sound research intimately interacts with digital and visual media.
On Friday May 20, Pastoral (Christophe Bailleau + Philippe Franck) proposes a new AV set entitled ‘No Meaning’ initiated last year for the festival Vidéoformes (France) followed by ‘Polyphony 4 solos’ by cellist-singer Matthew Safatly who dialogues with his alter egos on monitors .
The following day, Alexandra Dementieva and Maurice Charles JJ extend their performative research and synergistic ‘Tunnel Hearing’ where the sounds of live saxophone generate digital and organic images taken inside the instrument and digitally altered while the pianist Céline Lory evolves in an installation by Sébastien Fauvet.
