The opening of the sound arts festival City Sonic which was associated this Summer to the European Night of young artists (in the framework of the European project Park in progress) was successful and we had nothing but good feed-back from the public, the media and the professionnals. You still have a few days to visit the sound itinerary downtown Mons and discover several performances, Dj sets in the nomadic bus, Showcase Emergences (concerts-AV performances by young artists), lectures and commented play lists. Already we are preparing our participation in the Quinzaine numérique/Digital Fortnight (many digital arts events in several cities in the Federation Wallonia-Brussels – 21 sept-6 oct), never stop!

Showcase Emergence is a series of events (organised at la médiathèque/le manège.mons, during City Sonic and the whole year) to support young alter musicians of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels. Sylphides is a musical project of sound creation, videos, photos that emerged in 2010. Composed by Laurence Lemoine (lyrics and vocals) and Patrick Masson (music) from Mons and Ath (Belgium), the duet mixes electronic music, experimental electronic, sound improvisation and also live, the music is accompanied by videos and images projected. A unique electronic world, made of atmospheres and strange sounds.
