For this new edition of ‘Transdemo’, a series of events launched by Transcultures in 2014 encouraging the dialogue between creators of innovative/in progress/multimedia projects with the public and professionals who are invited to give a feed back to the artists, Nicolas d’Alessandro (research-engineer / musician / digital artist and co-founder of the start-up Hovertone-Mons) and Jean-François Lahos (visual and digital artist, computer engineer-Québec) are invited to present the first stage of their project Requiem which was developed within the framework of “Vice-Versa crossed residences cross digital arts”, initiated by Transcultures with La Chambre Blanche (Quebec).
Requiem is a hybrid research between geometric and sound architectures, which was also developed around the relationship between knowledge and the unknown. This device is a reference to the physical and subtle bodies, as a recumbent statue made of polyhedra and a synthesis voice choir unfold in harmony with the pressure points applied to this body equipped with tactile surfaces.
